Production

James Gunn began work on the script for the third film in May 2017, when the second Guardians of the Galaxy appeared on the screen. He has stated several times that the third Guardians of the Galaxy will conclude the story of this particular team of heroes without revealing the details of the plot. It is assumed that in the third part of the movie Michael Rooker will again appear in the image of Yondu since immediately after the release of the second picture, James Gunn expressed regret over the killing of the character.
