Back in 2011, Mr. Daniel H. Wilson published his best-selling sci-fi epic, Robopocalypse. Both the critics and the fans loved it. The man is heavily involved with robotics and that allowed him to create an extremely realistic setting where AI takes over the whole world. And now Hollywood is ready to turn it into a big-screen banger. Alright, when is Robopocalypse movie release date 2018? It’s definitely coming next year – no doubt about that.
The exact date is not set yet, though, and we’ll have to wait for the production company to come around with the official announcement. In the world of Robopocalypse, robots play a vital role in every single human being’s life. They do the dirty work for them: drive the parents to work, take the kids to school, wash the dishes, and even fight their wars. But one day, an extremely advanced AI takes over and turns them into killing machines. Its name is Archos, and it finds a way to break free from a top-secret base in Alaska.
It comes to the conclusion that in order to save the planet, mankind needs to be erased from existence. The robots crush the humans in a matter of days, and now it’s up to the resistance to take the battle to the enemy. The estimated budget for this project is 200 million US dollars, and with Mr. Spielberg on top of things, it looks like this is going to be the grandiose sci-fi movie that we’ve been waiting for so many years.
